The BUA Mobile Lab is a trailer equipped with open-source digital tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines. It promotes open-source hardware and community building at Berlin universities by enabling rapid prototyping and collaborative creation. Serving as a hub for innovation, it supports sharing reproducible designs via platforms like GitHub, bridging digital fabrication with open-source development practices.
The Mobile FabLab is a traveling workshop bringing cutting-edge technology to students aged 13-19. Operating mainly in the South Moravian Region, it has reached as far as Sarajevo. Through hands-on technology workshops, students explore 3D printing, laser cutting, milling, robotics, and plotting. Equipped with advanced digital tools, the FabLab fosters creativity, problem-solving, and innovation, making STEM education more accessible and engaging.
The EDU .lab is Škoda Auto’s cutting‑edge mobile laboratory — truck and trailer combo that brings hands‑on STEM and digital fabrication directly to schools and the public across Czechia and Slovakia. Targeting pupils in upper primary and secondary school, this mobile lab aims to spark curiosity in robotics, AI, VR/AR, 3D‑printing and more — with afternoon slots open to families and general visitors. By the end of 2025, EDU .lab will have visited all Czech regions and major Slovak cities.
Fab Mobile aims to give access to digital production education for vulnerable communities of youngsters located in the rural areas of Iași region.

In the structurally weak area around Lübbenau in the Spreewald, the team introduces young people to digital and manual technologies – from model making and screen printing to Arduino programming and 3D printing. The organization is firmly rooted in the local community and also maintains cross-border collaborations with Polish institutions. The "Makerkutsche" itself is a trailer that the team, together with students from the local technical school, has converted into a mobile lab.
The Workshop Pavilion is a vibrant centre full of custom workshops led by creators from the Czech Republic and international maker community. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced maker, you'll learn new skills and gain valuable inspiration in zones focused on 3D printing, CNC milling or robotics.

The Prusa Research Pavilion presents the current trajectory of Prusa Research and PrusaLab. You can meet the Prusa Research team, learn about the latest technologies from their workshops and find out interesting behind-the-scenes information. The pavilion will also offer a technology and Art&Design Expo. Last but not least, there will be panel discussions and hands-on workshops, mostly on the topic of 3D printing and its future.
The Fab Festival will feature an exhibition of projects by local and international creators, combining creativity and technology. The exhibition will show how digital fabrication opens up new possibilities in art and design, and how these innovations can solve real problems, support local production and develop community collaboration.
Artist: Robin Baumgartner
Robin is an award-winning experimental hardware game developer and interactive installation artist based in Berlin. After researching Artificial Intelligence in Games and working on mobile games, he is now fully focused on creating playful interactive installations that straddle the divide of games and art, such as Line Wobbler and Wobble Garden. His most recent projects also involve a scientific aspect: Quantum Garden and its larger sequel, Quantum Jungle, both visualise quantum physics in a playful yet scientifically accurate manner.
Format: Interactive installation
An interactive installation that transforms the complexity of quantum physics into a sensory experience of sound and light. As visitors move through the space, their presence triggers shifts in rhythm, pattern, and color – reflecting the uncertainty and entanglement at the heart of quantum mechanics.
Curated by: Fabricademy Collective
Fabricademy is a global, distributed educational program that explores the intersection of textiles, digital fabrication, and biology. Over 6 months, participants dive into a hands-on journey that blends traditional crafts with cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing, electronics, wearable tech, and biofabrication. It's a space for experimentation, collaboration, and redefining the future of fashion and materials through open-source tools and sustainable innovation. Fabricademy is hosted by FabLabs and innovation spaces worldwide, making it a truly international and community-driven experience.
Format: Exhibition
A showcase of final projects from Fabricademy students around the world – exploring intersections of textile innovation, wearable tech, sustainability, and digital fabrication.
Expect bold materials, experimental fashion and biofabricated futures.
Artist: Kryštof Brůha
Kryštof Brůha is an intermedia artist living and working in Prague, whose work explores specific environments – from the natural to the technological and virtual. He focuses on their influences and their overall transformation over time. He allows us to look at phenomena hidden from our perception, for example through macro and micro mapping of the environment, and through such scanning of space and time through artistic artefacts he offers the viewer a new view of reality. His media include installations, kinetic sculptures, generative videos and experimental films. In the development process, he uses scientific methods, specially designed algorithms, generative design and machine learning. In implementation, Brůha creates custom tools using Rapid Prototyping and CNC technology that are computer controlled. All these technological processes are then reflected in the aesthetics of his works.
Format: Interactive light sculpture
An interactive sculpture that visualizes the invisible world of electromagnetic waves. Using a custom-developed medium called Spektraflux, the piece responds to ambient electromagnetic activity – such as signals from electrical grids and communication devices – by transforming them into dynamic light patterns.
Artists: Lukáš Dřevjaný, Luboš Zbranek & others
Lukáš Dřevjaný is a visual artist, lighting designer, and mentor of creative technologies. He combines light, space, and interactivity in live performances, light installations, large-scale projections, and theatre performances. He primarily works under his brand oxoo. Among other things, he mentors technology in the Art&Digital Lab in Hall 40 at the Holešovice Market and organizes technology workshops.
Luboš Zbranek is a 3D graphic, VJ, video, and light designer. During his studies of Interactive Media Theory at Masaryk University, he has focused on creating interactive environments and deeper exploration of the human-machine, human-code relationship. By studying light design at JAMU, he expanded his scope to include light design, light art, and performance genres. He has collaborated visually on many techno and electronic music events, interactive installations, and theatre performances at home and abroad.
Other collaborators: David Minařík, Michal Mitro, Maurício Lobo
Format: Interactive light installation
The Nexus grows algorithmically in time and space. Like the rhizome, the mycelium, or human and non-human neural networks, the individual cells of this digital moss are constantly exchanging information. The body of the work is made up of 300 eight-legged acrylic cells, straddling all axes of space. The individual building elements are interconnected, functioning as a volumetric display.
Layer by layer, we all do 3D printing.
But what if there was another way? For example, printing the entire model at once?
Well, yes! There is!
Come and see for yourself how this completely different approach to 3D printing works! I will show you my working prototype in action, and you will learn many fascinating details about the new CAL technology. For instance, what speeds and accuracies can be achieved, why it requires no supports, why it’s suitable for printing biomaterials, and why it might even make sense to 3D print in space!
Artist: Martin Hradil
They call me “The Engineer”…
Maybe because of how I come across, or maybe because of what I’m interested in.
I enjoy simplifying things and replicating complex technologies in a homemade way. I never shy away from a debate about the latest scientific discoveries, and I’m passionate about modern physics and mathematics.
I’m an innovator, technician, amateur programmer — but above all, I’m a Maker!
The Fablab Pavilion is a large-scale version of the open workshops, FabLabs, that help communicate the theme of digital fabrication around the world. Outside of the partner booths, where you can meet established technology companies, you can try out a range of FabLab-specific devices, see what a standard workshop looks like, or take part in one of the many hands-on workshops.
