Fab Festival is a day-long celebration of creativity, creativity, innovation and above all the largest gathering of the international maker community in the country! It takes place at the Prague Exhibition Grounds as part of the international conference FAB25. This vibrant festival is free to the public and open to everyone - from experienced innovators to beginners among children or adults who want to discover a whole new world.
Visitors can take part in hands-on workshops, listen to inspiring lectures and see live demonstrations of the latest technologies - from 3D printing, CNC machines and their use in art and design to artificial intelligence and augmented reality. The festival will also feature an exhibition of projects by local and international creators, showing how the combination of creativity and technology is solving real problems, supporting local manufacturing or art and technology, and fostering community collaboration.

The Workshop Pavilion is a vibrant centre full of custom workshops led by creators from the Czech Republic and international maker community. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced maker, you'll learn new skills and gain valuable inspiration in zones focused on 3D printing, CNC milling or robotics.
The Prusa Research Pavilion presents the current trajectory of Prusa Research and PrusaLab. You can meet the Prusa Research team, learn about the latest technologies from their workshops and find out interesting behind-the-scenes information. The pavilion will also offer a technology and Art&Design Expo. Last but not least, there will be panel discussions and hands-on workshops, mostly on the topic of 3D printing and its future.
The Fab Festival will feature an exhibition of projects by local and international creators, combining creativity and technology. The exhibition will show how digital fabrication opens up new possibilities in art and design, and how these innovations can solve real problems, support local production and develop community collaboration.
The Fablab Pavilion is a large-scale version of the open workshops, FabLabs, that help communicate the theme of digital fabrication around the world. Outside of the partner booths, where you can meet established technology companies, you can try out a range of FabLab-specific devices, see what a standard workshop looks like, or take part in one of the many hands-on workshops.
At the event, children will be immersed in the world of digital production and practical creation under the guidance of foreign lecturers from the international non-profit organization Global Kids, from Japan, Kenya or Italy. Thanks to the international setting, children will practice their English in a natural environment with peers from all over the world, following the Make Education approach, which emphasizes playful and interactive learning that awakens curiosity and creativity.
Open Air Playground is a space for makers of all ages in the Exhibition Park in Prague. Here you can play games and have fun. If the weather is warm, you can even have a water war!
There will be several food trucks, a cafeteria and a bistro offering coffee, snacks and drinks. We're thinking of you during warm summer days, so ice cream and iced drinks will also be on offer!
Make more is the driving force behind the Czech Maker Movement. Since launching the Prague Maker Faire in 2018, the organization has grown to host 12 Maker Faires annually—the highest number of any country in the world. Beyond large-scale events that attract tens of thousands of participants, Make More has expanded its scope to include educational initiatives, makerspace development, and consultancy services, fostering a thriving maker ecosystem in the Czech Republic.
The first Czech FabLab, established in 2017 in Brno. Originally set up as a hardware incubator for the local innovation center, it has evolved into one of the leading European FabLabs. Operating a 24/7 FabLab with more than 400 active members, a trailer-sized mobile FabLab visited yearly by 8,000 students, participating in European projects, and leading a STEM promotion project, FabLab Brno is now on its way to the next level in the upcoming year – joining forces with another local makerspace and a hugely popular local science center.
The Fab Foundation was established as a nonprofit in 2009, emerging from MIT’s Center for Bits & Atoms. It supports a global network of approximately 3,000 Fab Labs in over 160 countries, promoting access to digital fabrication tools, knowledge, and education. Through initiatives like the Academany and community-based projects, the Fab Foundation empowers individuals and communities worldwide, fostering innovation, collaboration, and economic opportunity.
The Center for Bits and Atoms at MIT pioneers innovation in digital fabrication, machine design, and sustainable materials. As the birthplace of the Fab Lab concept, it bridges digital and physical domains through groundbreaking research. CBA’s work has transformed education and sustainability, providing global communities with tools and knowledge to drive problem solving, innovation, and the future of making.

Public transport
Due to the reconstruction of the Exhibition Centre, the nearest stop is Strossmayerovo náměstí (trams 1, 6, 8, 12, 14, 25, 26). From here it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the festival.
The nearest metro station is Vltavská (line C), from where you can walk (about 15 minutes) or change to a tram.
By bike
The Exhibition Grounds can be easily reached by bicycle. There will be a reserved parking space for bicycles, we recommend taking a lock with you. The route from the centre is along the cycle path along the Vltava River.
By car
Parking around the Exhibition Centre is limited. We recommend to use the parking lot in OC Stromovka or in the parking house at Výstaviště Holešovice, or choose public transport. There will be no reserved parking for the public on site.
